Itinerary
So everyone knows where they should be, and at what time, you can view a full itinerary of our day below. Starting from nine in the morning and running through to the evening, all the important times and events for the day are listed below.
Ceremony
The ceremony will take place at the Castle in Shrewsbury starting at 3pm and should last for approxiametly half an hour followed by drinks and photos in the grounds.
- 2.30 pm
- The Groom and Best Man will arrive at The Castle. Guests for the wedding ceremony will arrive from this time till 2.45pm when they will be seated in The Circular Room.
- 2.45 pm
- The Groom and Best Man will proceed into The Castle to meet the Registrars before making their way to The Circular Room.
- 2.50 pm
- The Bride will arrive and be greeted at the Centre Door by the Duty Officer. She will then meet with the Registrars and then be escorted back to the Centre Door where she shall be escorted by the Father Of The Bride to The Circular Room for the ceremony.
- 3.00 pm
- The wedding ceremony will begin at 3pm and is expected to take approximately half an hour. Following the wedding the Bride and Groom will make their way through the Centre Doors into the grounds for a photo session. While the photos are being taken drinks will be served to guests in The Castle grounds.
Wedding Breakfast
Following the ceremony, the wedding breakfast shall be served at the Lion Hotel in Shresbury which is just round the corner from The Castle.
- 4.45 pm
- The Bride and Groom shall leave The Castle in the wedding car and following a short drive round Shrewsbury shall make their way to the Lion Hotel. Wedding Guests who have not already begun to make their way to the hotel will now depart The Castle grounds for the short journey to greet the Bride and Groom.
- 5.00 pm
- The Bride and Groom will arrive at the Lion Hotel.
- 5.15 pm
- Guests shall be seated for the Wedding Breakfast.
- 5.30 pm
- Eat Up!
- 6.30 pm
- The Speeches. Garuanteed to be funny or embarassing, perhaps both.
- 6.45 pm
- Anyone for cake? Time to cut it up, form an orderly queue.
Wedding Reception
Following the meal there’s a short break before we’ll be moving upstairs to be joined by our guests for the evening.
- 7.30 pm
- The evening reception begins. For reception guest arriving early drinks are available from the downstairs bar.
- 8.00 pm
- It’s time to dance courtesy of Solid Gold Enterntainment who will be spinning the tunes. If we have to dance then we expect all of you to get up and dance with us
- 9.00 pm
- Evening Buffet is served. Grab a plate and take your choice of assorted sandwhiches, sausage rolls, pizza slices, honey and coriander chicken pieces, spring rolls, crisps and nuts. If there’s not enough to tempt you there, the hotel also has a range of cold snacks available.
- 12.30 am
- Last orders Ladies and Gentleman if you please. The bar will be closing now so get you last drinks in before now and raise a glass to the Bride and Groom and to your health.
- 1.00 am
